The Benefits And Disadvantages Of An Oklahoma Home School
There are both pros and cons when it comes to an Oklahoma home school, and so if you are considering home schooling your own children, then you are going to want to learn about both the advantages and disadvantages, so that you can get the best view on the whole picture and thus make the best decision overall for you and your children. Advantages to Oklahoma Home School
One of the biggest advantages to an Oklahoma home school is that there is no child influence or bullying, as children often learn things at a young age that they should not know, especially in today's world, and especially at school where they learn this sort of information from other children. However, if your child is taught in an Oklahoma home school, then violence and vulgarities are things that the parent does not have to worry about, thus relieving at least one issue from off your back. A home environment also provides a child with less distraction and less peer pressure. Yet another positive reason for home schooling is that the worry of a poor social life does not have to be a concern, and so if you cannot afford the clothes and toys that other parents can buy for their children, then at least you do not have to worry about this with home schooling because they are not going to be going to school to show any of this stuff off. Disadvantages to Oklahoma Home School However, just as there are advantages, there are disadvantages as well, one in particular being that the curriculum has become increasingly harder over the years, and so you the parent, now the teacher as well, are going to have to make sure that you can adapt and work with it and teach it to your children properly and without trouble. There is also the issue that the children will not socialize enough, since they will not be getting the chance to go to school and interact with other children every day. Because of this, you are going to have to try even harder to include proper socialization activities into their daily routine, so that they will not be shy or withdrawn from not attending actual school. As long as you consider both the advantages and disadvantages, take all of the appropriate information into consideration and prepare yourself properly, then you will be able to knowledgeably and wisely determine whether or not you should home school your own children. |
